Golden rule: TradeWars only ever asks for your investor password. Never share your master password with anyone — including us. The investor password cannot place trades, close positions, or withdraw anything.
Option A — You are creating a fresh demo (easiest)
When you open a demo account directly inside the MT5 terminal, the final screen hands you the investor password immediately:
- In MT5: File → Open an Account
- Search your broker's demo server (e.g. Axi-US50-Demo or Ava-Demo 1-MT5) and pick it
- Choose “Open a demo account”, fill in your details, pick the virtual deposit, accept the terms
- The confirmation screen shows three lines — copy them somewhere safe:
Option B — Your demo already exists
Existing accounts don't display the investor password anywhere — you set a new one from the MT5 desktop terminal (not the mobile app):
- Log into your demo account in MT5 desktop (with your usual password)
- Press Ctrl+O (or Tools → Options) → open the Server tab → click Change
- Tick “Change investor (read only) password”
- Enter your current master password, then choose your new investor password → OK
Broker specifics
Axi specifics
- Fastest path: create the demo inside MT5 (Option A) — pick an Axi demo server in the search list (e.g. Axi-US50-Demo); the investor password is shown at creation. Full walkthrough with screenshots: create your Axi MT5 demo.
- Demo created from the Axi Client Portal instead? Use Option B to set an investor password, or check the welcome email — it sometimes lists both passwords.
- No Axi account yet? Create one here, then open the MT5 demo.
